      6.    Announcements-
  • Sewing with Kate, The Women's Center will be at the Center. Located at 213 N. Washington St.  Tuesday February 19, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm.  
  • Free Dental Screening at the Center. Located at 213 N Washington St. Wednesday February 20, 2019 from 1:30 pm until 5:00 pm and Friday February 22, 2019 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm
  • Water Talks at the Newman Center. Located at 715 S. Washington St. Friday February 22, 2019.  Art and Info will begin at 6:00 pm and the program will begin at 7:00 pm until doors close at 10:00 pm.
  • Mardi Gras. Saturday February 23, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Located at the Elks Club in Carbondale.

Contribution Request for Newsletter

The Center for Empowerment and Justice is working on the 2nd edition of our newsletter.  We are seeking contributions and ideas for articles and announcements.  It is a goal to publish at least quarterly both in print and online.

Ways to get involved:
  • Brainstorm or submit suggestions for a TITLE for the NEWSLETTER
  • Submit content by Monday, August 20th by email to printshop.thecenter@gmail.com (pictures too)
  • Submit dates and event descriptions for Community Calandar
  • Distribute in print or digital copies where appropriate to your work, school, church, friends, etc.

On Friday, March 2nd, three of the five youths with open criminal cases will be in Saline County Court for hearings.
